The NEO Map Widget has several capabilities that are explained below.
| Zoom in | Click and hold on the 'zoom in' icon to magnify the data image you are currently viewing. You can alternatively use the '+' on your keyboard. | |
| Zoom out | Click and hold on the 'zoom out' icon to pull back in the data image you are currently viewing. You can alternatively use the '-' key on your keyboard. | |
| Zoom out full | Click on the 'zoom out full' icon to return to the full view of the current data image. You can alternatively use the '=' key on your keyboard. | |
| Drag tool | After clicking on the 'drag tool' icon you can use the cursor to drag the location of the image around the widget. You can alternatively use the arrow keys, home, page up, end, and page down keys on your keyboard to zoom around. You can also select this tool using the 'd' key. Note: This works only if you are zoomed in on the image. | |
| Selection tool | After clicking the 'selection tool' icon you can click and drag to create a square bounded region on the map that will be used when executing queries. You can also select this tool with your 's' key. Note: The selection tool only functions while viewing global datasets. | |
| Clear selection | Click on the 'clear selection' icon to remove the selected region from the map. You can also use the 'c' key on your keyboard. | |
| Display swaths | Click on the 'display swaths' icon to toggle the overlay showing the swaths that comprise the data image you are currently viewing. You can also toggle the swath overlay with the 'w' key on your keyboard. Note: This icon will only be active when viewing daily global datasets. |
