NEO now provides the ability to download selected datasets as CSV (comma separated values) and 32-bit floating point GeoTIFFs. In addition, you can select to export a CSV file that will fit within the constraints of Excel or other spreadsheet applications (which are restricted to a maximum of 256 columns). Both the CSV and GeoTIFF outputs contain the data values (including fill values) for the image -- e.g., for a Sea Surface Temperature image the returned values will be in degrees centigrade.

If you are a user of the ICE (Image Composite Explorer) tool in NEO, you can now download the contents of your ICE session directly to your desktop so that you can run ICE without being connected to the Internet. See the 'Download' tab when you are configuring your ICE session.

Launch of the Image Composite Explorer (ICE) in NEO. ICE is a simple analytical tool that allows you to select datasets for side-by-side comparison. Look for the 'Add to ICE Box' link on most datasets to get started.

Added several new MODIS Atmospheric datasets (all global): Aerosol Optical Thickness, Aerosol Particle Radius, Cloud Fraction, Cloud Optical Thickness, Cloud Particle Radius, and Water Vapor. Special thanks to Reto Stockli of the Earth Observatory for producing these images.

Added MODIS True and False Color datasets. These are available as daily global and 5-minute swath images. These datasets will give you the most current, color views of our planet. Special thanks to the MODIS Rapid Response Team for their efforts in producing these data.
